Armada U18 take on Ballers at GOALS Perry Barr for their 1835hrs kick-off.

The game starts and Armada get the balling rolling quickly into a rhythm, making sure that the ball moves away from the opposition as quickly as it can. Opposition get frustrated and start to close the ball down faster, Armada make a few mistakes but then get the ball and attack in force, keeper makes a few saves but that's about it for now.

Armada really going at the opposition as a few quick passes strung together get opposition flustered and they leave big gaps open in their defence, a nice interchange of passing play see's Wahib in a 1 on 1 situation, he shouldn't miss this and he doesn't, 1 nil to Armada.

Armada fired up even more as the game gets the first goal, you can really feel another goal coming up, Ballers are having a mare of a time getting to the ball and then keeping it, they are getting the odd chance to turn on the ball but then bang an Armada wall like defender is in the way. Gohari doing a magnificent job in defence as Naj and Ubayd are helping there as well, the link up play between all the players is great.

Armada can sniff a goal is coming a quick one two with Najed gives Wahib his second goal, he made it look easy but the defender wasn't there and that's what made the scoring opportunity for Wahib. He just doesn't look like he is going to give-up, as the game re-starts Wahib look goal hungry, he moves the ball between him and his team and makes the opposition really chase the ball, this gives him a chance at a really tight angle but somehow manages to thread it through into the goal, terrific goal and that completes his hat trick. 3 nil before halftime Armada fans are jubilant and looking forward to plenty more goals.

HT: ARMADA YOUTH 3 - 0 Ballers

Second half gets underway and already there is a something odd about the setup of Armada, they seem to have gone defensive, I wonder if that's because of the injury to Ubayd, we will have to wait and see. Armada again moving the ball around quite quick but it's good to see that Ballers are fighting back now and had a few shots blocked, intercepted and a few that have gone for 6 points, nevertheless it is encouraging to see. Ubayd manages to slip and slide past a few players and as the tackles are flying in so are Ubayd's feet and at ties he is tripping himself up as well. A foul in front of the opposition goal, this isn't good for Ballers, Ubayd steps up and takes the shot it manages to find a way through the wall and into the back of the net, what a goal that was.

Armada U18 firmly in the driving seat and as they head into the closing minutes, Armada have really been outstanding in this game but the opposition made their fair share of errors in the game. Make sure you go through the stats to see the remainder of the game as it fell into a bit of a stalemate towards the end of the second half. Armada stayed strong to hold off a great 3 point victory and it was made even sweeter by Andrew keeping a clean sheet.
