THE STORY SO FAR
Armada FC step into their first home league fixture of the season with something to prove and everything to gain. Last weekend’s heartbreaking 2-1 defeat away at Benson Cresconians offered no shortage of drama, passion, and grit – but also left the squad with a bitter taste of what might have been.
Despite trailing early, the boys in blue dominated long spells, controlling possession, creating chances, and dictating tempo. Captain Lambros Pardale thundered home a penalty to level the score, but a late sucker punch saw the result slip away. There was fight, there was fire, and now there’s unfinished business.
As the Calthorpe faithful prepare to roar from the stands, Armada FC know it’s time to deliver.

TEAM STATS
This marks Game 2 of the 2025/26 campaign. While the first match ended in a narrow 2-1 loss, the squad left everything on the pitch and came away with lessons to build upon. The team is training harder, smarter, and are fully committed to making Calthorpe Park a fortress this season. Expect a strong response from a side hungry for redemption and points on the board.
OPPOSITION FORM
Wake Green Amateurs roll into this fixture winless and wounded, having suffered a 4-1 defeat in their opening game. Their defence looked shaky, conceding freely, while their attack was largely dependent on Jordan Andrews, who scored their only goal. Despite having a player pool of over 100, it’s unclear if the opposition have found the right chemistry or consistency.
With no clear standout performers and little cohesion on show last week, Wake Green remain unpredictable – but Armada FC will be prepared for every scenario.
PRESS CONFERENCE
"We were the better team for long periods last Saturday, but the result didn’t reflect our efforts. The lads know what’s at stake this weekend. At home, with our supporters behind us, we have a chance to right the wrongs and get our season moving in the right direction. Wake Green will be no pushovers, but this is our house – and we’re coming for the win."
