In a powerful demonstration of grassroots impact, Armada FC has released its June 2025 Food Impact Report, revealing that the club supported 5,515 people across Birmingham last month through its Community Services Division.
The report highlights that 988kg of surplus food was collected and converted into 2,558 meals, preventing 1,617kg of CO₂ emissions in the process. This initiative, powered by Armada FC’s Community Services Division, continues to address rising food insecurity in some of the city's most deprived areas, including Balsall Heath, Sparkbrook and Newtown.
New referral partnerships with West Midlands Police, Probation Services, and supported accommodation providers are credited with strengthening local response. The club’s nightly city patrols—feeding rough sleepers and vulnerable residents—have become a lifeline for many.
“Every collection is a goal scored against hunger,” said Shahid Khan, Armada FC’s co-founder. “This is about justice, not charity.”
With food poverty on the rise and over 40% of Birmingham residents living in highly deprived areas, Armada FC is calling for more businesses and individuals to get involved.
